Craig Sager returns to TNT, and the NBA rejoices

Craig Sager, everybody's favorite fashion-don't, is back on the NBA sidelines, and the league is thrilled.

The TNT reporter returned to the airwaves Thursday night in Chicago after nearly a year of receiving treatment for acute leukemia.

"It was a long 11 months," Sager said during TNT's broadcast of the Bulls' game against the Oklahoma City Thunder at the United Center. "I'm very grateful for my health and the fact that I'm back."

Sager, 63, was diagnosed last April and has since received a bone marrow transplant from his son Craig Jr. A bout with pneumonia delayed his return in the fall, when he had hoped to cover the baseball playoffs.

But now he's been cleared to work and was back in form Thursday night, wearing one of his signature loud sport coats to the arena before receiving another in Bulls colors during a pregame ceremony from team mascot Benny the Bull.

When asked about his health on the air, Sager stated that he was ready to hit the town with the TNT crew when they were off the clock.

"I think I'm back," Sager said. "I think I'll meet you after the game. I think I'm ready. I feel great."

The entire NBA seemed happy to have Sager back, as seen all over social media on Thursday.
