Martina Hingis accused of violence against ex-husband
Martina Hingis has been questioned by Swiss police after Hingis’ estranged husband said he was attacked by the five-time Grand Slam champion and her family, the Associated Press reported.
Hingis, who made a semi-serious comeback in doubles this year, and her mother, Melanie Molitor, and Molitor’s boyfriend, Bario Widmer, were interviewed at Swiss police headquarters last week, a spokesman told the AP.
Police spokesman Florian Grossmann said the department will decide if further action is necessary. Thibault Hutin, a French equestrian athlete, said he was attacked Sept. 23 in his home and said Hingis and Molitor hit him with a DVD player.
