Raiders get routed by the Dolphins, again

The Oakland Raiders have been walloped by the Miami Dolphins for the second meeting in a row.

That’s Miami, with a rookie quarterback in Ryan Tannehill and Reggie Bush doing his best Darren McFadden imitation. Well, better than a McFadden imitation.

The Raiders fell to 0-2 with a 35-13 loss at Miami on Sunday. Last season, Oakland dropped a 34-14 decision to the Dolphins in Miami. So maybe this was expected.

Oakland Coach Dennis Allen will have to wait at least another week for his first victory.

Raiders quarterback Carson Palmer passed for 373 yards, completing 24 of 48 attempts, but had only one touchdown, a swing pass to Mike Goodson, who took it 64 yards down the sideline.

McFadden and the running game never got untracked. He finished with 22 yards on 11 carries, with a longest run of four yards.

Miami rookie Ryan Tannehill completed 18 of 30 passes for 200 yards and a touchdown with no interceptions. Tannehill connected with Brian Hartline nine times for 111 yards.

But Bush was the big story for the Dolphins (1-1). He ran wild — 172 yards in 26 carries, including a run of 65 yards — and scored two touchdowns.
