Angry fans reportedly confront Texans QB Matt Schaub, family at home

Matt Schaub deserves better.

Sure, he may have thrown three interceptions -- including a pick six for an NFL-record fourth straight game -- in the Houston Texans’ 34-3 loss to the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday night. But he and his family shouldn’t have to go through what reportedly happened Tuesday night.

An unnamed source close to law enforcement told “The Fred & Ted Show” on CBS sports radio in Houston that more than one disgruntled Texans fan showed up at the quarterback’s home.

At least one of them berated Schaub for his unsatisfactory play of late, and another took photos of the Pro Bowler’s family and posted them on Facebook, the source said.

It is believed that Schaub contacted NFL Security, which asked for help from Houston police. The so-called fans are said to have left on their own before law enforcement could arrive.

Seriously?

Fans have every right to voice their displeasure at the stadium, but to confront a guy at his home and then involve his family is way over the line -- no matter how many interceptions he throws.
