UCLA players done focusing on themselves, now focused on USC
UCLA players made it clear on Monday and Tuesday that they were going to use their bye week to focus on themselves.
That plan seemed to change Wednesday. The Bruins used a scout team outfitted in corresponding USC numbers for practice.
Jake Hall was playing USC quarterback Cody Kessler and Craig Lee was playing USC running back Javorius Allen. The Bruins have begun game preparations for the Nov. 22 game against the Trojans.
Lee could also be in line for a promotion. There are questions whether Nate Starks will be healthy enough to play because of an injured left knee. Starks is in the Bruins’ running back rotation with Paul Perkins and Jordon James, but has not been able to practice this week.
UCLA defensive end Takkarist McKinley has also sat out with an undisclosed injury.
