Counting scholarships in USC’s 2016 recruiting class
USC continues to piece together its 2016 recruiting class.
Coach Steve Sarkisian announced Tuesday that Woodland Hills Oaks Christian receiver Michael Pittman signed a financial-aid agreement.
The agreement is binding for the university but not for the player.
Pittman, 6-foot-4 and 210 pounds, once was committed to UCLA.
Pittman is the fourth recruit to sign financial-aid paperwork with the Trojans.
USC announced last week that linebacker Daelin Hayes, defensive back C.J. Pollard and offensive lineman Nathan Smith also signed agreements.
All four recruits are on track to enroll at USC in January and several of them are scheduled to make an official visit to campus when USC plays UCLA on Nov. 28.
With four players who have signed financial-aid paperwork and five blue-shirt recruits who are on this season’s roster (Offensive lineman Clayton Johnston, receiver Deontay Burnett, punter Chris Tilbey and tight end Daniel Imatorbhebhe and Taylor McNamara), USC has 16 remaining scholarships in the 2016 class.
Twelve of those scholarships have been claimed by verbal commitments.
