Snoop Dogg is back on the USC bandwagon
Snoop Dogg was a regular at the Coliseum during the Pete Carroll era at USC.
In 2005, tailback LenDale White scored a touchdown against Washington State and tossed the ball to the rapper-music producer-actor behind the end zone.
So Snoop Dogg couldn’t stay away from USC for too long.
He took a hiatus to wear UCLA gear in photo ops with Bruins Coach Jim Mora in January, but he was back in cardinal and gold this week.
Snoop wore receiver Nelson Agholor’s No. 15 jersey on ESPN’s “SportsCenter” to predict the winner of Saturday’s Pac-12 Conference opener between No. 14 USC and No. 13 Stanford.
There was no upset: The longtime Trojans fan picked USC to beat the Cardinal at Stanford Stadium.
“We’ve got to do our job,” Snoop said, “do what we do, put up that money and protect the house.”
Snoop’s best-case scenario has USC winning the national title this season.
“Go to the final four,” he said, “upset somebody to get to the national championship and actually pull it off.”
Sounds like somebody is ready to reclaim his spot on the Trojans’ sideline.
