Security photos released of suspected shoplifter
Glendale police released security photos on Thursday of a woman suspected of stealing a wallet from a store in the Glendale Galleria.
In the photos, the woman is seen entering the Gucci store in the Galleria around 11:15 a.m. on June 6 with a small boy and an older man wearing a black baseball cap and dark clothing, according to Glendale police spokeswoman Tahnee Lightfoot.
The man left the store, while the woman stayed behind with the child and browsed the merchandise, Lightfoot said.
She appeared to select a wallet and then scanned the area to see if anyone was watching then placed it in her shopping bag, she added.
The woman then left the store with the boy, but failed to pay for the item, Lightfoot said.
The woman is described as between 20 and 27 years old, 5 feet 8, with a thin build, long, dark hair and an unknown tattoo on her left shoulder.
Anyone with information about the identity of the woman is asked to call Det. Scott Byrne at (818) 548-2097.
