National park tips: My two favorite places to see the Golden Gate Bridge
I have two favorite spots for looking at the Golden Gate Bridge. On the north side of the bay, it’s Conzelman Road in the Marin headlands.
And on the south side, it’s just outside the Crissy Field Warming Hut, a.k.a. Presidio Building 983, at Marine Drive and Long Avenue.
It might not be as solitary as an early morning walk on Baker Beach, but you can get breakfast or lunch in the hut, browse a well-curated inventory of books about the region, and watch the passing parade of runners, cyclists and tourists. Details here.
And all of these spots, by the way, are part of Golden Gate National Recreation Area.
