Beverly Hills’ Mosaic Hotel has had a little work done; here’s what it looks like now

Four months after it closed for renovations, the Mosaic Hotel in Beverly Hills has recovered from its facelift and has reopened.

And it’s offering discounts on rooms until Sept. 30.

But first, let’s look at what’s been done at the boutique hotel. The 49 rooms as well as common areas and the pool were redone as part of the multimillion-dollar renovation.

Its new look is described as a blend of “European sensibility with a modern American style.”

Or, said another way: London design firm Luxlo created a design that features contemporary furnishings accented by bright colored artworks. New furniture and fire pits have been added to the area around the quirky-shaped pool.

It’s not just the look that has changed.

New in-room amenities include 42- or 50-inch flat-screen TVs, bamboo terry robes, rainfall shower heads, vanities made of white stone and Calacatta marble in suites, large work stations and this interesting extra: electric “do not disturb” signs.

The redo already gets good buzz among recent TripAdvisor travelers, one of whom mentioned the Au Vert Bvlgari products in the room.

The Mosaic is a sister property of Maison 140, another Beverly Hills hotel that was renovated in 2011 with designs by Kelly Wearstler.

For the reopening, the hotel offers guests 35% off the best available room rate through Sept. 30. I checked online and found rooms starting at $331 at the discount rate.
