Colorado: Music fuels this rafting trip with L.A. Philharmonic members
Dvorak’s Expeditions offers “Classical Music Journey” on the Dolores River in Colorado. The travel company is run by a descendant of the famous Czech composer; evenings are spent in the company of members of the Los Angeles Philharmonic. By day, rafts traverse Class II-IV rapids. The itinerary also allows ample time to hike and visit indigenous ruins.
Itinerary: Cortez to Grand Junction via the Dolores River.
Dates: June 4-10.
Price: $2,101 per person, including rafts and equipment, guides, all meals and daily concerts. The price excludes airfare, a 4 percent land-use fee, transfers ($25) and gratuities.
