St. Patrick’s Day: Las Vegas pub crawl’s free music and drink deals
Chicago and New York (and, apparently, Savannah, Ga., according to the previous post) are traditionally ground zero for St. Patrick’s Day, but the Pub Crawl at Fremont Street Experience in downtown Las Vegas might make for a cool stand-in. Partyers pick up a free wristband that provides access to free entertainment and some greenback-saving deals.
The deal: Start by registering for a wristband at the St. Patrick’s Day Pub Crawl website. There’s free parking (425 Fremont St.) and a free Pub Crawl T-shirt for the first 400 people who check in.
Discounts include a free margarita at the Casino Bar inside the Fremont Hotel & Casino, a $5 Long Island Iced Tea at Longbar at the D (which, until this week, was Fitzgerald’s) and a $3 Pot of Gold shot (Goldschlager and creme de menthe) at Chicago Brew Pub in the Four Queens Resort & Casino.
When: The discounts apply from 5 p.m. to midnight on Saturday.
Details: The pub crawl is strictly for the 21-and-older crowd, and IDs will be required at check-in. And while the wristband-only discounts don’t begin until 5 p.m., free entertainment from tribute bands starts earlier in the day. VegasU2 plays noon-3 p.m. and again from midnight-3 a.m. Sunday at the 3rd Street Stage (near the D) and Red Not Chili Peppers perform 11 p.m.-2 a.m. on the Main Street Stage. Check out the entire schedule.
