Las Vegas: Temptation Sundays return to the Luxor
More than the weather is heating up in Las Vegas, thanks to the return of Temptation Sundays, a weekly pool party for members of the LGBT community.
Each Sunday through Sept. 8, the north pool at Luxor will host the bash from 1-7 p.m. All adults are welcome, but the party is tailored to members of the gay and lesbian community.
Beginning on Sunday, the “Tempter” contest arrives poolside. Each week, two guests will be selected to participate in the search for, according to a news release, “the hottest Temptation Sundays guy of the 2013 season.” The winner will be chosen Aug. 18. The competition will be hosted by Jaymes Vaughan, the Chippendales dancer who successfully completed CBS-TV’s “The Amazing Race” last year.
General admission is $20, but Las Vegas locals, Luxor and Excalibur guests, military, police and fire personnel receive discounted admission of $10. Free entry is available until 2 p.m. for those who text “VEGAS” to 77948.
For those who want to party in style, cabanas will be available starting at $250.
