Planning your trip aboard the Pacific Yellowfin
THE BEST WAY TO VANCOUVER
From LAX, Air Canada, Alaska and Westjet offer nonstop service, and United, Delta, Alaska, Westjet and Air Canada offer connecting service (change of plane). Restricted round-trip airfares begin at $278.
The Pacific Yellowfin ([866] 640-5935, https://www.pacificyellowfin.com) operates only charters in July and August. Individual traveler trips take place in June, September and October to the Gulf Islands, Desolation Sound and the Great Bear Rainforest. Included are all meals, use of the ship’s equipment at the crew’s discretion, and wine and beer with meals. Transportation to and from the vessel is not included. The three-night, four-day Gulf Island cruise starts at $3,800 a person, double occupancy.
Depending on which cruise you choose, you will take a float plane to the Pacific Yellowfin from the Vancouver float plane terminal in Richmond, a short shuttle from the main international airport. Cruises may also depart from the Britannia Heritage Shipyard, also near the airport.
