How the NHL stars partied after their awards show in Las Vegas

Reporting from Las Vegas —  The NHL Awards took over Las Vegas on Wednesday night with comedians, rock stars and hockey luminaries galore spotted up and down the Strip.

Light Nightclub seemed to be the unofficial spot for the stars to meet after the awards show at the MGM Grand Garden Arena.

Host Rob Riggle, singer Chris Daughtry and James Norris Memorial Trophy winner Erik Karlsson of the Ottawa Senators were spotted at the nightclub at Mandalay Bay. Retired NHL legends Daniel Alfredsson and Anson Carter were also on hand.

Carey Price capped off his historic night at the NHL Awards by dining at Tao Asian Bistro at the Venetian. The Montreal Canadiens player became the first goalie in NHL history to sweep four awards, taking home the Hart Trophy as the league’s MVP, the Vezina Trophy as the NHL’s best goalie, the Ted Lindsay award as the most outstanding player as voted on by the players, He also shared in the William M. Jennings award as a goalie on a team allowing the fewest regular season goals.

Price and his wife Angela and two other couples dined together at the restaurant.

Florida Panthers defenseman Aaron Ekblad, who won the Calder Memorial Trophy crowning him NHL Rookie of the Year, celebrated at the restaurant with family and friends.

Singer Daughtry headed to the restaurant with friends earlier in the night.
