Member of U.S. military dies in explosion in Syria
Reporting from Beirut — U.S. officials said Thursday that an American service member in Syria has died from wounds suffered in the blast of a roadside bomb.
A statement from the public affairs office of Combined Joint Task Force-Operation Inherent Resolve said the explosion took place in the vicinity of Ayn Issa in northern Syria.
