Culinary SOS: Walnut praline shortbread cookies from Mountain Restaurant

I made a big mistake when Times Test Kitchen Manager Noelle Carter was testing this Culinary SOS request for the walnut praline shortbread cookies from Mountain Restaurant in Idyllwild.
You see, I snatched two of these on my way through the kitchen. But I should have grabbed 22. By the time I had come back, of course, they were long gone. Needless to say, they are insanely delicious. I don’t know why they are called cookies, because they are more like a petite walnut pie.
But what’s in a name?
