Women’s snowboard cross delayed

Guess what?Weather is causing problems, yes, more problems at the already challenged Cypress Mountain.

Shots of the mountain, hit by fog and rain, did not looked good Tuesday morning. This has forced training for the women’s snowboard cross to be canceled. Qualifying trials had been set to start at 10 a.m. and have been, for now, pushed back an hour.

Expect more delays today. In addition to today’s problems, the bad weather obviously will damage the halfpipe course, which wasn’t in great shape, either.
