However, no layoffs are planned at the City of Industry-based Pico division, which employs about 110 people, a spokesman added. Akron, Ohio-based B. F. Goodrich would not disclose the amount that the company will pay to Sargent Industries, a Los Angeles subsidiary of New York-based Dover Corp. It manufactures and services emergency-evacuation systems sold to airlines. “Business will continue as usual,” the spokesman said.
