Ceradyne Inc.’s Net Rises 59% in 1984
Ceradyne Inc., the Santa Ana-based manufacturer of ceramics for the defense and electronics industries, said Wednesday that net income for 1984 increased 59% to $925,000 from $582,000 in 1983.
For the fourth quarter ended Dec. 31, net income of $124,000 represented a 27% decrease from the $170,000 in profits reported for the final three months of 1983.
Sales for 1984 rose 59.9% to $12.7 million from $7.9 million a year ago and included a 31% increase in fourth-quarter sales, which totaled $3.3 million compared to the year-ago figure of $2.5 million.
