Home resales fell 10.4% in California last month.
Home resales in the state registered a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 344,642 units, down from January’s 384,763-unit rate and 4.8% less than the 362,019 units sold in February, 1984. Nationally, sales of existing homes dipped 2.7% in February to an annual rate of 2.92 million units, the National Assn. of Realtors reported. The statewide median sales price increased in February to $112,093, up 1% from the $110,987 posted in January and up 0.3% from the $111,768 posted in February, 1984.
