Priam Corp. has restructured its staff following its Feb. 28 merger with Vertex Peripherals Corp., both of San Jose. Priam is the surviving company.

William J. Schroeder, Priam’s president, was named chairman and chief executive of the merged company, and Joe T. Booker, Vertex’s president, was named Priam’s president and chief operating officer.

James W. Adkisson, Vertex’s executive vice president, was named executive vice president-marketing, sales and service for the new company. Alonzo A. Wilson, who headed Priam’s engineering unit, has been named executive vice president-engineering.

The following have been named vice presidents: Robert P. Lawrence, North American sales; Norman Hayes, engineering; David S. Dury, chief financial officer; Gregory P. Klein, human resources; Joseph B. Smith, operations, and Richard Garlick, technical operations. Priam and Vertex are both manufacturers of Winchester disk drives.
