William A. Howe has been appointed president of Frye & Smith, the Costa Mesa-based commercial color printing division of American Standard Inc. Before assuming his new position, Howe was vice president and general manager of the WABCO Fluid Power division of American-Standard in Lexington, Ky.
Robert E. Martin has been appointed vice president-finance at SPI Pharmaceuticals, a publicly held subsidiary of ICN Pharmaceuticals Inc., both of Costa Mesa. Martin had been vice president-finance and treasurer at Elder Pharmaceuticals Inc. since 1975.
Ropak West Inc., a Fullerton-based container manufacturer, has appointed two new vice presidents: James R. Connell is the new vice president-marketing; Ronald W. Cameron is the vice president-finance and treasurer. Both had been senior executives of the Capilano group of companies that was acquired by Ropak in February.
