Sears, Roebuck and a Japanese firm were sued.
U.S. Philips Corp., a subsidiary of United States Philips Trust, filed a patent infringement suit in federal court in Illinois against Chicago-based Sears and Izumi Seimitsu Kogyo Co. of Tokyo. The suit concerns rotary shavers that are manufactured by Izumi in Japan and sold by Sears in the United States. Sears said it had no comment because it had not seen the suit.
