A Norwegian strike cut Phillips’ oil production.
Phillips Petroleum said a 12-hour sympathy strike by North Sea production workers Saturday cut by one-third the crude oil production from the Ekofisk Field, which provides 23% of Phillips’ worldwide oil production. Gas production wasn’t affected, Phillips said, and normal production resumed Sunday after a Norwegian court said the strikers hadn’t given the required 48-hour notice.
