Atascadero police said chances are “less than 50-50” that excavations will uncover any bodies of children allegedly killed in cult activities or in the making of pornographic snuff films. Two victims of a child molestation ring, 8 and 11 years old now, made the allegations leading to the search for bodies of “10 to 15” children said to have been killed, police Sgt. Bill Watton said. They reportedly told police they saw children being killed and the slayings filmed for pornographic “snuff” movies in which sexual victims are killed. Watton said that police have not found any snuff films and he believes it is unlikely that any bodies will be found during the excavations.
