Care Enterprises announced a major management restructuring of the Laguna Hills-based nursing-care concern.
The company--the nation’s fourth-largest publicly owned operator of skilled and intermediate nursing-care facilities--will have three new operating subsidiaries, according to Boyd W. Hendrickson, president and chief operating officer.
David K. Juberg, formerly vice president of operations of Care Enterprises, has been named president of a new subsidiary called Care Enterprises West.
The group includes all company facilities in California and Utah.
Dennis G. Sherman, formerly vice president of operations for Americare Corp., has been appointed president of Americare, which Care Enterprises acquired earlier this year for about $25 million. Sherman will direct operations of the newly acquired facilities.
Ralph E. Hazelbaker, former president of Americare, was appointed president of the new Care Development subsidiary.
Care Development will be responsible for the corporate marketing program, long-range planning, acquisitions and the construction of new nursing homes and retirement centers.
