Quality Systems Posts Earnings of $69,300
Quality Systems Inc., a Tustin seller of computerized information processing systems, posted profits in the second fiscal quarter and first half of the year. For the quarter, ended Sept. 30., the company posted earnings of $69,300, compared with a loss of $565,200 in the same period last year. Revenues for the quarter increased to $2.4 million, from $2 million a year earlier. For the first six months, the company reported profits of $138,000 compared with a loss of $437,100 for the same period last year. Sales for the six-month period increased to $5.1 million from $4.6 million last year.
The company attributed the return to profitability to its streamlined operations and its sales and marketing efforts. More automation has significantly reduced overhead, the company said.
