Birtcher Development, Xerox to Build Complex
The Birtcher Development Company has entered into a joint venture with Xerox Corp. to build a one-million square foot business complex at 1750 East Fourth St. in Santa Ana.
Purchase price of the 10.6-acre site, previously owned and occupied by Allstate Insurance Co., was $12.25 million, according to Rick Oakes, director of commercial and industrial development for Birtcher.
Scott Perley, a vice-president with Coldwell Banker, the firm that handled the sale, revealed that Xerox is Birtcher’s partner in the venture and said a Xerox unit also will be a tenant of the new office complex. The project will cost $185 million to complete and is the first of its kind in Santa Ana.
