Richard W. Williams, formerly of Wickes Companies Inc., has been named vice president and controller of the Irvine Co. Williams, who served as vice president and controller for Santa Monica-based Wickes, also has served as controller of Trusthouse Forte Inc. and Caesars World. A graduate of the University of Southern California, Williams is a certified public accountant.
