Patrick Foley, president of Hyatt Hotels Corp., Chicago, has been promoted to chairman.
Foley, who will be 54 today, has served as president of Hyatt Hotels since 1977 and replaces Thomas J. Pritzker as chairman. Pritzker will become chairman of the executive committee of Hyatt Hotels.
Replacing Foley as president is Darryl Hartley-Leonard, 40, who has served as executive vice president since 1978.
Hyatt Hotels is a subsidiary of Hyatt Corp., a private company controlled by members of the Pritzker family of Chicago. Their holdings include control of Braniff Inc., the reorganized Houston-based national airline.
