Paramount : Water Main Replacement
A $328,848 project has begun in a northwest neighborhood to upgrade deteriorating water mains.
The project, which is scheduled for completion next month, will replace 6,000 feet of iron pipes with larger cement water mains. Twenty-three new fire hydrants will also be installed.
Construction is being done by R. T. Construction of Santa Ana. The rehabilitation is taking place within the Century City Service Area of the city and includes Century Boulevard and Walnut, Lugo and Cortland avenues.
The water mains will be moved from the alleys to the streets in front of the residents.
