Discovery Associates acquired Leo’s Stereo.
The Encino investment firm said it paid more than $30 million, $9 million in cash, for the Carson-based chain of 45 consumer electronics stores, which have annual sales of about $95 million. David Alhart, a former Pacific Stereo vice president, was named Leo’s president and chief operating officer.
