Knight-Ridder Inc. of Miami reported increased profit for the year and fourth quarter of 1986. Operating revenue for the quarter rose 12.5%. Contributing to the fourth-quarter increases in 1986 was the acquisition of three television stations and six newspapers, a spokesman said. However, he added, advertising revenue was soft in a number of markets.
