American reached agreement with its pilots union.
American Airlines and the Allied Pilots Assn. agreed on a new contract for the airline’s 6,000 pilots, union President Fred Vogel and Charles A. Pasciuto, the airline’s vice president for employee relations, announced. A company spokesman said the agreement “contains many new and innovative concepts” and that, as a result, details will be not be made public until union and company representatives write specific contract language.
