Trading hours for gold and silver will be extended.
The Commodity Exchange is expanding trading hours for gold and silver futures contracts to bring them more in line with the currency markets, officials announced. Beginning on Monday, gold will trade 40 minutes longer, from 8:20 a.m. EDT to 2:30 p.m., and the silver market will be open 30 minutes longer, from 8:25 a.m. EDT to 2:25 p.m.
