Creans’ Mansion
I’m sure that the many homeless people of Orange County read with interest the plans of John and Donna Crean to build a 21,000-square-foot home in Santa Ana Heights (Life, Jan. 28). Particularly since their expressed plan is to occupy only 1,500 square feet and allow the remaining 19,500 square feet to “just sit there, I guess.”
Certainly, the Creans have every right to spend their money exactly as they choose. But for you to publicize and highlight this self-indulgence in a full-page article is a tremendous disservice to those in need. It only serves to confirm the negative impression that many already have about life in affluent Orange County.
