Costa, Talcon Join in Partnership to Develop Housing
Costa Construction Inc., a privately held home builder in Carlsbad, and Talcon L.P., a publicly traded master limited partnership, have formed a permanent limited partnership and changed the firm’s name to the Costa Group.
The move will allow Costa to become a major force in the Southland building industry, according to Bill Koll, president of Costa. The general partner of Talcon L.P. is Calton Capital Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Calton Inc., a New York Stock Exchange-listed real estate developer.
Costa is now active in the Rancho California area of Riverside County, where 284 houses are planned. The firm also builds in northern San Diego County.
