Bergdorf Goodman, a New York fashion specialty store and a unit of Neiman-Marcus Group, announced plans to open a new men’s specialty store. The men’s store will occupy 45,000 square feet directly across the street from Bergdorf Goodman at Fifth Avenue and 58th Street. Ira Neimark, chairman and chief executive, said the store’s rapid growth made the $10-million expansion necessary. The new store is to open in spring 1990.
