United Airlines has requested the assistance of a mediator in its contract talks with the flight attendants, who are represented by the Assn. of Flight Attendants, AFL-CIO. No mediator has yet been assigned to the carrier, nor any date set for the contract talks to continue. Negotiations began again in January and have continued throughout the year.
