Lawrence Perlman, chief operating officer of Control Data’s Commercial Credit Corp., has been appointed president and chief operating officer of Control Data. Thomas C. Roberts, president of Control Data’s Systems & Services Group, will leave the company “to pursue other interests,” the computer company said. A successor has not been named. Perlman takes over presidential duties from Robert M. Price, chairman and chief executive. The position of chief operating officer had been vacant. John K. Buckner, executive vice president and chief financial officer, has been promoted to vice chairman and retains the title of chief financial officer.
