Sanwa Bank Signs $100 Million-Plus Downtown Lease
Sanwa Bank California has signed a lease valued at more than $100 million for about 200,000 square feet in the 52-story office building now under construction by Mitsui Fudosan USA at Wilshire Boulevard and Figueroa Street
Industry sources say the lease is for 15 years and that the building is expected to be called the Sanwa Bank Plaza--Figueroa at Wilshire. The building is scheduled to be ready for tenants on Sept. 1, 1990.
Sanwa’s downtown office, with 400 employees, is now located at 612 South Flower St. Sanwa is the 7th largest bank in California and the Japanese parent bank is said to be the 5th largest in the world.
