Judy’s Clothing Chain Shows Gain for Quarter
Judy’s Inc., a 104-store chain of clothing stores based in Van Nuys, said it earned $929,000 in the fourth quarter that ended Jan. 31, compared to a loss of $491,000 a year earlier.
The increase in profit came as the company’s sales rose nearly 11% in the quarter to $19.1 million.
For the year, Judy’s earned $352,000, compared to a slight profit of $7,000 a year earlier. Sales fell less than 1% to $57.5 million.
