Pasadena Studies Amendments to Slow-Growth Law
The Pasadena Board of Directors is considering three amendments to the city’s slow-growth ordinance that may be presented to voters in the November election.
The amendments, on which the board is scheduled to vote Aug. 1, are intended to clarify the wording of the ordinance.
So far, there has been no opposition to the amendments from Pasadena Residents in Defense of their Environment, the community group that waged the successful initiative campaign establishing the ordinance.
All changes to the slow-growth ordinance must be put to a citywide vote. The election could cost the city as much as $75,000.
