Buy the Way: South Coast Plaza has just introduced a new incentive for shoppers to part with their money.
Customers can now sign up for a Visa card issued through Security Pacific National Bank in conjunction with the mall that entitles them to special privileges--for a fee.
These privileges include advance notice of store openings, invitations to mall events such as fashion shows and free use of the mall’s package claim service.
The annual cost for the card is $25 (the charge for a conventional Visa card from the bank is $18), and it is subject to the usual 19.8% annual percentage rate on the outstanding balance.
