McMartin Jurors Deliver 13 Verdicts; 14 Remain
Jurors in the McMartin Pre-School molestation trial turned in sealed verdicts on 13 more counts Thursday, leaving only 14 verdicts to be decided in the 6-year-long case.
Announcement of their findings could come as early as today, according to Los Angeles Superior Court Judge William Pounders.
Ray Buckey, 31, and his mother, Peggy McMartin Buckey, 63, are charged with 64 counts of molestation and a shared count of conspiracy involving 11 children who attended their family-run nursery school in Manhattan Beach.
The eight-man, four-woman panel has already arrived at 52 verdicts in eight weeks of deliberations.
