Santa Monica : Construction Plan OKd
Santa Monica College’s Board of Trustees have approved a five-year $25.7-million construction plan that includes nine projects.
Remodeling the cafeteria and adding a second floor to the student activities building are slated to be completed by the spring.
Other projects--such as expanding the library, the Technology Building, the automotive-repair area and the bookstore, building two parking structures and building a new theater or putting a roof over the existing amphitheater--are in planning or proposal stages. The college is seeking state funding for several of the projects.
