Abortion Controversy
Willke not only stretches metaphor beyond its capacity but also presents misinformation as biological fact.
A newly formed zygote would, under microscopic examination, reveal its membership in the human family. The 46 chromosomes that provide proof of being human can also be found (microscopically) in a sloughed-off skin cell, a lost hair or other bits of our bodies not usually associated with a fetus.
As regards metaphor, I am absolutely amazed that Willke can equate freedom of choice with slavery. This convoluted logic always seems to indicate a more insidious agenda among the leading anti-choice spokesmen.
