Hair Dryer Wrongful-Death Suit: A wrongful-death suit was filed against Conair Corp. and the Price Club claiming that they manufactured and sold a defective hair dryer. The Los Angeles Superior Court suit was filed by relatives of Stella Lee, a minor who was electrocuted in the bathtub “as a direct result of the unsafe product,” the suit said. The suit asked for unspecified damages. (Filed June 11, 1990. Case No. EC000446)
