Furon Posts Second-Quarter Net of $2.3 Million, Up 35% From ’89

Furon Co., the Laguna Niguel-based producer of industrial polymer products, posted second-quarter net income of $2.3 million, up 35% from the $1.7 million reported for the corresponding quarter last year. Sales for the quarter ended Aug. 4 rose slightly to $84.4 million from $84.1 million.

For the first half of fiscal 1991, net income totaled $5.5 million, up 28% from $4.3 million in the year-earlier period. Sales increased to $172.4 million from $169.9 million.
